Nga Aratini specialises in housing vulnerable New Zealanders including:
• Rangatahi transitioning out of care or custody
• Whānau affected by homelessness
• Single parents needing housing stability
• Individuals exiting addiction services
• Aging Māori and Pacific peoples requiring Kaumātua housing
• Members of Māori and Pacific communities requiring culturally aligned support
• Tenants with special health needs
These initiatives often involve partnerships between iwi, hapū, local councils, and government, non-government and community agencies.
How We Operate
Each Nga Aratini community operates under a structured model with:
• dedictaed property managers
• A dedicated whānau support representative
• One-on-one meetings with tenants held in the management office
• Personalised support plans co-developed with each resident
• Triage of needs and coordination of relevant services
• Resident involvement in maintaining communal gardens
• Secure digital reporting systems and annual SOP reviews
• Community transport available at every site
